An Initaitl Osteopathic Consultation will comprise of:

• New patient questionnaire to be fiiled out by patient

• A thorough case history taken by Osteopath

• A physical assessment done by Osteopath

• Osteopathic treatment will be conducted if clinically indicated

• If treatment is indicated during the initial consultation, Osteopathic treatment offered may involve one or more of the following techniques performed at the Osteopaths discretion: massage, articulation, MET, HVLA (manipulation), fascial release, stretching and exercise prescription.

If after a thorough case history, assessment and consultation, if the patient is not a candidate for Osteopathic treatment, the Osteopath may refer the patient on for further management by a relevant healthcare professional.
